Great coffee shouldn't require compromise.

We're Richard and Chris: two longtime friends, two basketball coaches, two recovering corporate guys, and the proud owners of a coffee habit that got wonderfully out of hand.

For years, we met at our favorite neighborhood coffee shop to talk business, basketball, family, and life. We debated plays, exchanged ideas, solved a few problems, probably created a few more, and drank enough coffee to eventually become rather opinionated about it.

The more we learned, the more we wanted from our everyday cup. Great flavor was essential, but so were thoughtfully sourced organic beans, clean ingredients, and a process that didn't cut corners. We wanted coffee that was easy to enjoy every morning—and good enough to make getting out of bed feel like a reasonably fair trade.

At some point, our usual conversation changed from "Where should we get coffee?" to "Why don't we make our own?"

And just like that—well, after plenty of research, planning, tasting, retasting, and a few friendly disagreements—Main Street Coffee Roasters was born.

Our years in business taught us how to build relationships and stand behind what we promise. Coaching taught us that preparation matters, details count, teamwork wins, and nobody improves by going through the motions. We decided those same principles belonged in every bag of coffee carrying our name.

Think of us as a couple of friend-founded food guys in the spirit of Ben and Jerry—except our creations melt into your morning, not in your hand.

Today, we're focused on one simple goal: making exceptional organic coffee that brings better flavor, better ingredients, and a little more enjoyment to your everyday cup.

We're Richard and Chris. Our gig is coffee, our standards are high, and the pot is always on.
